I'm trying to OC this Chips. I'd like to reach 5Ghz.
I would like some help to understand whats going on.
ATM, i'm trying a 4.5Ghz. OCCT won't pass ( CPU SDS, MDS, LDS but LINPACK OK ) if LLC is enabled ( level 5 or 6 over 7 )
NAS i3 8350k - Strix Z390-I Gaming - 16 Go Corsair Vengeance RGB 3200 - Corsair H100i Platinium RGB
Vcore Bios = 1.2
Frequence CPU = 4.5
LLC = auto
XMP2 = 3200
You just need to increase voltage and frequency until your cpu is too hot to cool or the vcore is getting too high. Looks like you could take another 10-15c in temperature on your cpu before its too hot. The llc seems to default to level 8 because vcore is increasing under cpu load. It won't pass on llc 7 because vcore will decrease under full cpu load at that setting.
LLC 8 is bad for 24/7 OC from what i heard since it tends to attenuate Vdroop which allows some overshoot on the vcore right ?
So indeed i might need to increase the Vcore so LLC get on lower levels to compensate the lack of Vcore.
BTW any idea whats a good Vcore for 4.8 or 5.0 on a i3 8350k ? Or where i can find this kind of data ?
What is the real problem of running a chip @ 1.35v 24/7 ? Its the Vcore itself or the hit that damage the chip ? If i delid the i3 i might get -15-20°.
Admiting i cant reach 5Ghz @ 1.35v 30-35 idle is this a problem for 24/7 OC ?

I'm not familiar with that cpu. My 8700k needed 1.328v for 5.0ghz, 1.280v for 4.9ghz. Most people say that 1.42v is the highest voltage you can run daily on those chips.
according to this https://siliconlottery.com/pages/statistics , 41% of 8350k can not reach 5.0ghz. So you may have to settle for less.
