Intel: anymore plans for eDRAM CPU's?

The Broadwell 5775c performed really well w/it's eDRAM so why has Intel given up on eDRAM's? The Skylake-R 6785R (a BGA CPU) has been discontinued. If Intel were to make a CPU w/a larger and faster eDRAM wouldn't it be worthwhile? Why weren't eDRAM's ever put into parts w/more cores (e.g. 6, 8 or 10 core parts)?

It's strange but I can't really find any benchmarks on the Skylake-R 6785R.
