There is some information missing in this scenario, but at the same time, I don't know what to ask other than request some exploratory probing myself. The device is there, it's just not named what you expect, or is hidden. That's why I volunteered teamviewer, other than that, dunno.

Hi,
Freezing at idle might actually be memory or disk issues
Disable fast start and c states might be tring to hibernate or something or hybrid sleep..

Use a performance power plan if not already.

If on win-10
Right click start button and click on power options
On the top right advanced power settings
Change what the power button does
Uncheck fast start features.

Restart go to bios and boot section/ disable fast start.

@ssateneth I'll see about the teamview if I can't get it to no freeze. In bios, ME isn't displaying the version. It reads n/a.

@ThrashZone The pc is set to Performance Power, but fast start was checked. I have unchecked it and restarted pc. Let's see if this fixes the freezing issue.

Hi,
To make sure it doesn't get activated again
Use command prompt as administrator right click start button.

Use
powercfg -h off
Code:
powercfg -h off
Fast start options will disappear
Not a lot of computers are compatible with fast start don't feel bad about.
I disable it automatically compatible or not.

Maybe no ME then? (though highly unlikely). Have you tried updating BIOS

Intel Core i9-9900k (Silicon Lottery 5.1GHz @ 5.3GHz 1.36 VCore)

@ssateneth
My bios version is the latest and have tried a previous version now back to the latest.

@ThrashZone It has been 6 days after unchecking fast start feature in windows power management and Windows haven't freeze yet. I'll monitor it for a few more days. This maybe the fix.

After my last post stating my pc may have been fixed with disabling of fast boot in Windows, it froze one time on the 7th and on the 8th day.

It has now been going on 2 weeks without any changes made since the last freeze up, pc has been running fine. No issues. Just to reiterate, the pc doesn't crash when it is with load, stress testing, etc. It only happens when the pc is at idle and or during boot up.

Did you get the MEI sorted out? - Intel Management Interface? - I have a Z77 or two - and Asus as well so I've probably experienced this.

Try and older version of the management interface - also try un-installing the chipset as well - try things out.

Asus website will have several versions.

Also handy is DRIVER PACK - free download and can help sometimes if you're in a JAM

Just an idea or two! - Hope it helps

Hi,
Post your voltages with hwinfo free
Sensors only and on the bottom left double arrow click it two times so that you get three pages shown

Minimize and do some basic load tests
Post a screen shot

Still sort of leaning on some memory instability causing the freezing
