Do you have a link where I can download and install the MEI? The motherboard doesn't seem to have any version installed and I have looked in device manager and was unable to find such MEI. I think I have posted a screenshot of my device manager in previous post. See below screenshot of my bios info.

I think I have posted a screenshot of my device manager in previous post. See below screenshot of my bios info.

According to the ASUS support page for your motherboard ME version 8.1 is the highest that was ever released for it. The ME driver you're trying to install has to match the firmware version, so MEI version 8.1 would be the highest you could go with it. For whatever reason though your BIOS says N/A next to ME version as well as the CPU speed and memory frequency.

You need to troubleshoot hardware before worrying about ME or overclocks.

If it were me I would do the following in this order
  • Power down the machine removing the power cable from the PSU
  • Remove all memory modules
  • Unmount the CPU cooler and remove the CPU from the board
  • Remove the CMOS battery and let the system sit for 10 minutes (overkill but will work)
  • Reinstall everything you just removed in the reverse order and boot the system back up when done
Load into the BIOS and check the system information page again, if the N/A values are still present under ME, CPU and Memory speeds then you'll need to start replacing components until you find the faulty one. My bet would be memory if the board itself isn't dying.
