i9 9900 non k Questions

I am looking to do a Shift X ITX gaming pc and I'm wondering with the CPU listed below paired with a 2080ti will I have any problems gaming compared to a 9900K and a 2080ti? I would not be overclocking the 9900k if I bought it and I worried about what performance I would get it If I get the 9900 vs the 9900k

The performance will be exactly the same. It is just not an unlocked processor. That is it.

the 9900K has a 500mhz higher base clock than the non-K and the all-core boost on the K is 100mhz higher.

also I don't think I agree with your username either but I need to do some more research

When did Intel change how there K series processors work. Didn't know they reduced clocks now as well. Guess they got to get sales on their K series somehow lol
Go put a pair of socks on and let me know how sweaty your feet get.

I like to have fun.

An i9 K or non K is going to be plenty fast enough for a 2080Ti. It would be kinda nuts to think you need to overclock the fastest gaming CPU you can buy just because you have a powerful GPU. If you use ray tracing or play in 4K, everything you do is going to be heavily GPU limited even with a 2080Ti. The only way you would max out your CPU is if you played in a low res without ray tracing and that would make having a 2080Ti pointless, and even then you would only find minor and meaningless differences that would only matter for benchmarking.
