Do you, or anyone else, know how much total ram was used for the higher scores compared to the lower ones? Because the 16-core xeon 2670, 6-core 7800x, and 32-core threadripper in the example scores, scored very close my score while varying quite a bit in core counts and memory speeds/timing
its in quad channel? displaying as such whats the aida64 mem bench screenie to see

It is likely related to non-priomary timings (assuming nothing else is truely out of whack) Probably best to take this OT discussion to the ram thread:

If you use XMP only on Dark it will hurt your memory performance it does not optimize well, it wouldn't give you half score I don't think but I've never done the test you are performing. From my boards MSI and Asus have best if you intend to use XMP btw...

I'm seeing a huge delta on my 10980xe between cores 82-104 being the widest on the blender benchmark. Using a heatkiller iv pro with 3x 360 rads. Unsure if its because of the goofy orientation but I had at least a 20c gap even in normal orientation. Anything I can do to reduce the gap? Currently running 4.8 ghz, 1.75 vccin, 1.23 vcore, 33 mesh at 1.3v, 300 uncore. 1.25 vccio.

Or is my cpu just kind of meh?

Hi,
I saw best results goofy mounted with horizontal jet spray on my heatkiller 4 pro

Switched to a optimus foundation copper plexi and it is a little better
Notice on my 9940x there are five cores still at 79c and one a hair under that compared the HK all but one core in 70's
Looks like optimus is cooling better even though the max min wasn't by all that much 3c overall
