I hate Intels latest tactics, Im shocked Im not jumping ship to team Red.

So all happy for Nov 25th I bought new motherboard and RAM I have everything else now its 2020 and on Intels page it shows Q4 Launched 10980XE ? So I cant switch to Red Team as I got the mobo and I want HEDT. Now who knows when this CPU will be in stock I messed up and missed the SiliconLottery I could have had one for 1050. Now I rely on best buy and amazon and the CHIP is no where to be found. Are they low on production or something.

"Latest", man they've been pulling garbage for ages. New socket every year with barely any performance improvements, grossly over charging to a point I'd feel scammed and an idiot if I succumbed to buying their stuff. Gladly, I was patient and upgraded to 3900X and Croshair VIII Impact DTX.

The local Micro Center to me has a hand full (of 3950x) in stock with the bundle deals.

Nice post man... Ya I think SiliconLottery is a rip off that is all it is. Good job not pulling the trigger now you have a nice 12 core 24 thread chip that will last for many years to come. All you have to worry about is video card upgrade in the future.

Hmmmm AMD beat them to launch as well hearing this info. I find it sad a huge company like Intel on their own page say Q4 2019 launch and its January 5th and nothing!!! When I do eventually get it , I will abuse it not with benchmarks and stability tests but on running huge projects on my DAW. I doubt I will even use 8 cores let alone 10 parked cores and also I do not do video editing so Im always going to have cores doing nothing. I wanted to go long term. I want this computer until 2030. I don't need single core performance rather the multithreaded which will never go to 100 percent usage.

I got my 10980xe pre order from Amazon today..... they sent me a 10920x! So annoyed. Their site is all screwed up so I am thinking folks who ordered a 10920x got the 980 etc. I wish that was me lol

I have no idea when they will just be available. Newegg is the only one to get stock and literally sells out in 30 seconds. I've read Best Buy may not stock until months later etc so who knows. Intel certainly isn't what it used to be

I feel guilty for wanting to upgrade already, it's only been a year. But I only want to upgrade to get hyperthreading, I should have saved a bit longer in the beginning, and got what I wanted.

This is still a cheaper hobby than women tho I think
