Overclocking with adaptive volage

Hi

i was looking at this guide https://edgeup.asus.com/2017/kaby-la...cking-guide/3/ about adaptive overclocking

it says additional turbo mode cpu core voltage, if i know my stable volage on manual, do i put that number into adaptive?

thanks for any advice

Specs: i7 5930k 4.5Ghz OC, Msi x99Mpower , 2x EVGA 1070 2.1GHz OC (with EVGA power bridge). XFX 850W power, 4x kingston Hyper X Raid 0 1.65GB/s, 8x Corsair Vengeance Red LED 3200 Mhz

Hi,
On what chip you show you have a 5930k not kabylake

Haswell-e don't really like adaptive but basicly yes leave auto on offset and apply manual voltage to additional turbo
Each core will likely not be the same some might be 0.050v+- different
Test at lower clocks first before doing over 4.5 which vcore you could still do auto for at probably just below or right at 1.3v

High overclocking best to stick with manual
If mild oc you can leave on auto vcore.

Biggest issue with oc on haswell-e is watching out for vccio cpu if oc'ing memory
Peg it to it's default 1.05 instead of leaving it on auto otherwise it will likely be 1.25v which is way too high.

Hi,
Okay yeah just enter into additional turbo your manual voltage and see how bad vids are at max x14 cores

I would not go by much else from kabylake oc'ing though.

Hi,
Using adaptive you can usually go a little lower since adaptive will do it's own thing compensating for too little core by core..
Additional turbo 1.2
4.5 shouldn't really need that much

Jp has a txt file available but his chip is delidded and uses by spastic core tuning.
