Ive decided to sit this one out. Its taken some coaching and restraint but im happy with the decision. LOL. Once I had added everything to cart. Cpu, MB, Ram. I just couldn't swallow and justify the price for a "FUN" project considering I already have a great quality 9900KS. It would be stupid and deep inside i know I would regret wasting the money. At this point in time I really wont end up utilizing the extra 2 cores properly anyways. I do zero productivity work.

Hope you get what your hoping for over your 9900K! May the silicon lottery be kind to you this time round. LOL.
I posted my 10900k and M12E review guide already. You didn't see it?

Considering I upgraded my cooling 3 times in the past year, I should be able to fight the urge this time.
Yeah if what you got is workin. This really isnt a smart buy. Especially with rumors that another line is gonna release at the end of this year already! And I wouldn't be surprised if when that happens MB manufactures will release yet again another updated Z490/Z590? motherboards that will be better. I love tech but I need to start being smarter with my money with these silly incremental upgrades just to fuel my stupid want for something thats just a bit better.

Yeah Ive mentally taken the money i would of spent and its reserved for 3080ti the second it releases. Im still sitting on a 1080ti so its a insta buy for me either way. Ive held out getting a 2080ti for so long. That took some serious self control. Now i just feel even better about it.

Wow no i didnt.

Nice job man. Ton of good info in there. You sure have been busy! Must have been a good deal of work.

Now for the important question. Is that stuff yours now? You dont have to give it back do you?

Also was your 10900k a retail sample or review sample?

Review sample (ES) but retail stepping (5, Q0)
I'm allowed to use it but it's not "mine". The CPU and board are the property of Intel and Asus.

That’s a really nice board. It’s the one I wanted and It was the one I had in my cart and came so close to buying. But it’s also what made me realize what I was doing was stupid. Lol. It’s 1100 bucks here. Lol. lol crazy.

I will be surprised if Intel comes out with new processors and a new chipset at the end of the year. I wouldn't expect anything new from Intel until summer next year. It would be out of character for them to release a new generation within a year of the previous release. It would make sense as a quick response to Zen 3, but still out of character. At least we know 11th gen will be supported by Z490 boards. Makes me wonder what Z590 will add to justify swapping motherboards.
