I run basically the exact same OC on mine. 5.0/4.7 on 1.196v VR VOut LLC 4. Lapped but not delidded cooled with a EK Phoenix 280 in push pull. Small FFT ABX enabled sees 79-81c hottest core after a long run. If I bump it up to 5.1/4.8 on 1.256v VR VOut I get 88-91c. Temps your getting are maybe a tad higher then I expected but not all CPU's are the same and mines lapped which saved me like 8-10c as it was concave as heck lol.

I tried to re-flash it with new bios - same thing. I just can't get why would it send 1.26V with auto settings to the stock CPU, and 1.4+ volts when the multiplier is set to 50. I'l try to set Ac and Dc at advanced Vr setting to 1 and see what my default CPU vid is

Wow that's a pretty high VID (1.245v) for 5 ghz at ambient.

You don't have your VR VOUT showing. How much VR OUT do you need to be stable at 5 ghz @ full load?

Also your board has an IR 35217? Must be a new revision...

Hi Falkentyne!

During the test above i just slapped 1.35V with turbo LLC to be stable at load.

At my regular OC profile, I use an adaptive voltage and below is the data for OCCT NO AVX Small Data set ( pretty much the same as P95 26.6 small data )
83 max temp, VRVOUT 1.252V, @152A - this is the lowest I can go in voltage for 5.0/4.7 non AVX loads. If I lower the voltage to meet 1.24V at load, i get L0 errors within 20-30 min of test

Yeah I see. That's about 40mv higher than my chip needs. High default VID=needs higher vcore.
But may run cooler than a low VID chip if BOTH are run at the exact same vcore.

Some my chip is pretty much a dud?

Updated bios to F11h.

below settings used for the test:
CPU ratio: 50
uncore:47
AVX offset 0
VCCSA: 1.2
VCCIO: 1.15
Vcore: 1.3V (reads as 1.308V in bios, 1.278V-1.291 at VRVOUT in windows at idle )
LLC: turbo
AC/DC: auto
MCE disabled
C-states, power savings - disabled. turbo boost - disabled.

ran P95 small fft no AVX - VRVOUT 1.238-1.24V, temps 82 max(24C amb). No L0 errors for 20 min.

decided to run P95 with AVX enabled - BSOD in a second (watchdog_timeout)

IF direct die will not help much with temps, it is definitely the CPU block causing high temps.

Update
Delidding kit came in a bit earlier than expected. Thank you RockiT!
quickly went to pick up a Conductonaut in local micro center and was ready to get this hot stone "stripped".

The whole procedure went surprisingly smooth and quick - easier then I expected.

After all this procedure I got a few questions and it would be great if experienced people can help me figure those out:
1. Could you please comment on the thermal paste spread from the photos below? it seems like a gap in the middle of the ihs and cpu block - is it normal? I used the spreading method with an applicator which comes with Cryonaut.
2. As this is my first LM application, did I apply enough?
