Why would you want to delid that CPU? It is soldered and not using paste, so risking it might not be worth it at all. After all many of the 6950X run out of overclocking headroom before temps become an issue unless you got very lucky. For example mine does only [email protected] and not stable at 4.4 with any voltage.

i9-7980XE / Asus Rampage VI Extreme / Corsair Dominator Platinum 64 GB 3200 MHz CL16-18-18/ Palit RTX2080TI / Intel 750 NVME / Samsung 1TB / Corsair AX1500i / Phanteks Enthoo Primo / Asus PG279Q

I have similar results but i can do 4.4GHz at 1.4 volts but temps are too high for comfort so when I saw this video:
. I thought it could reduce the temp enough to make 4.4 doable.

Hi,
Probably still wouldn't work but a direct die for 2066 socket might be closer to the ball park than the one you linked to.

Just checked the chip size 6950x is the same size as 2066 chips are.
Rockit88 delid kit might also work too.

Hi,
Yeah actually it's rockit99 not 88 but should work on 6950x

Iceman was the name of the direct die frame for 2066.

2066 delid bracket won't work on 2011-3 since they don't use that interposer board design. I'd not bother and just sell the CPU instead of having a dead chip from botched delid.
