So I can buy a 9900 non K for 220 bucks. I actually would prefer AMD but I need strong single core performance for 3D vision games. What should I do?

Either way you are buying a motherboard, so go with a 10600K for $279 on Newegg and overclock it to 5ghz. The 9900 non-k will only boost to 5.0 on 2 cores and only if it wants to.

But thats only 6 cores. I've been on 4 cores for 11 years now. Was hoping for at least more than 6 lol. how high can a 9900 boost to?

But isn't the news that 4k series are being delayed into next year? Besides, what Ryzen processor will I be able to get for 220 to 240 bucks that will compare in performance?

I did see a 10700k on newegg for 409. Even then I am still thinking how this deal is too good to pass up?

well hes telling you what it will run you wont be able to overclock it much without having the unlocked muti.

Heres a compare of a 3700x to a 9900 about the perf you might see.

5ghz on single core but im not sure what it does on muti cores honestly it was hard to find many with a 9900 on benchmarks.
