No, in CS GO it's an option in the video settings for some reason.

I've toyed with CSGO some time ago, it was fine on 4690K OCed. Tried the different settings and I don't remember getting some crazy low performance, if you do then it's very easy to notice and just switch the setting back.
It's a CPU game anyway and runs as badly as all previous Source engine games, with the same old latency problems.

The multi threaded rendering, yeah I think that will do it, hard to remember. Should be default enabled anyway.

Yea it's dumb that's it's even an option.
