How do I find out the VID for my new Q6600? Is it on the box or only readable by software?

I just bought the following configuration and I'm excited to move into the quad-core realm. Can't wait to overclock it.

Q6600

Gigabyte EP45-UD3P

G.Skill DDR21000

EDIT: I also picked up a Xigmatek HDT-S1283 w/ the bolt through kit.

CoreTemp.

The lower the VID, the better. I have a 1.2875. New ones will most likely be 1.3 and higher.

Running coretemp is the easiest way. I think most of the newer ones are around 1.3v.

Ya, I figured I'd be getting a mediocre VID at best. I figure if I can get it to at least 3 or 3.2 I'll consider myself happy.
