Hello everyone! Thank you for reading smile.gif

At the start of the 2013 I made a watercooled build in an FT03-mini. It's internally only 11 litres, so was a nice challenge to fit everything. Unfortunately it only has space for a single 120mm rad. Cooling CPU and GPU was possible, but I couldn't overclock very much. So I went looking for a new case that would be better at watercooling. Unfortunately, in the size I was looking for, there are no commercially available cases that have more than 240mm rad space. Then I discovered that She Loved E was teaming up with Dwood to fabricate the Mod of the Month winning case, Compact Splash. So I ordered one, and to cut a long story short, it arrived yesterday!

I was intending to use one AX240 rad and one EX120 rad. I had painted those already, but then EK released the new Coolstream PE rads. The advantage is that I could put the 90 rotaries directly into the ports, and that the PE120 fits on the front where the AX120 wouldn't.

With a torx screwdriver you can disassemble them for ease of painting. I've got some white Kobra graffiti paint which when sanded down carefully can give a nice shiny durable finish.

They come standard with little 16mm diameter extenders, but I don't want any shiny fittings in this build. The hole in the shroud is almost right for Monsoon rotaries which are 17mm diameter. I'd have to drill or file the hole a bit wider, I already scraped off some paint of the rotary trying to force it in tongue.gif

Although I've had 9 months to think about how I want this build, seeing things mounted is when I can finally make decisions. As you can see, although the rotaries do fit when using the extenders, it's going to look a lot better without.

Spot the FT03-mini...

I've put GTs in for the moment, so it looks a bit like Kyle's original build...

But I also have some eLoops that I can swap out of my folding rig. I will compare them later on.

I'll do some painting of the radiator shrouds in the weekend, but it's getting quite cold and my painting space is in the attic which is not very well insulated. (edit: I meant the paint will dry slowly in the cold, not that it's too cold for me)
