And I suppose, if anyone else has a GPU they want to throw into the mix, PM it to lanofson and me.

whoa! color me interested!

sorry for asking, having never folded before (procrastination!) and would need to put my spare part together (the mobo is breadboarded to trouble shoot), should i go get the wallet now?

also the huge n00b question:
can someone be so kind as to drop a link or two to help me get started. i know about google but does anyone have a favorite get started guide?

TIA.

Sure, wallet is the easy part. A few clicks and you have a Wallet address to use.

There is a sub forum with Guides. Here is one for Windows.
https://www.overclock.net/forum/366-f...s-gpu-cpu.html

Linux is a bit faster if that's your thing:
https://www.overclock.net/forum/366-f...u-gpu-cpu.html

Feel free to ask questions about setting up FAH. What will you be folding on?

nice. i am open to the OS so linux . . maybe.

i have a "junk" H61 mobo, i7-2600K, 2x4gb corsair 1600 (default 1333 w/sandy's imc) and a 780ti classy, antec 620. i can pick up a cheap HD.

not worried about power, tomorrow i should get put on a budget based on my unemployment and i won't really feel bad about it. too bad i am a little tight on cash, or this would be an excuse to pick up a 1TB ssd and toss my 256GB one in the folder.

The i7 may not be worth the electricity to run but the 780Ti should be ok. The GPU PPD DB is showing 268k PPD.
https://www.overclock.net/forum/55-ov...-database.html

FAH GPU Folding is all about the core clock. OC that in Linux, there's a guide for that too, and thats nearly optimized for FAH.

pretty sure there is a lot of wiggle room seeing this benfits more than just my pocketbook.

srly, with a tone like that, you still wonder why miners get so much hate?

have a good day.
GPU folding on an NV cad requires a dedicated thread to feed the GPU. So you're down to 6 or 7. Maybe like 20-40k extra PPD for a 3770k. I am typing on one and haven't used it for FAH in a long time. It's used for BOINC.

This also isn't even mining. It's standard folding with a side payment that can be transferred into BTC/$.

Added a stats link to OP to see how many folding points were done by a wallet address each day. Based on the total number of points done by all those with a wallet address in their username determines how many FAH Points per FLDC.

Folding Credit by WalletID: Edit URL for date time frame, Year-Month-Day.
