AMD 2700 PPD

So I purchased an 2700 and running it at 3.9 Ghz at the moment so someone on a 1700-1800X can compare, just reporting in some PPD. I will come back when I get everything dialed in correctly. I hope.

I am running on an ASUS Prime 370X-Pro. With an air cooler that I was running on my 1090T from 2007? thing works without any change on the brackets, I am going to run it till it blows.

Looks like 1.4V maxed temp at 78C on a P9033 (69,1,644) is at 00:00:34 for 65.6K PPD. Probably had some down clocking on that one.

At 1.39V Temp is hovering at 70C on a P14049 (2,336,4) is at 00:02:55 for 73.1K PPD.

I think most people use GPUs now , right?

► Recommended GPU Projects: [email protected] , [email protected] (FP64) (AMD moreso) ► Other notable GPU projects: [email protected] (Nvidia), GPUGrid (Nvidia) ► Project list

True, the GPU is where it is at. It is nice to have the information.

Those numbers seem low-average. Back when @navjack27 had is 1800x, when running under Linux, he would get 60-65k for the core A4's and 118-125k for the core A7's.

Folding under linux will be a significant boost in PPD. (10-20% more)

I don't usually run [email protected] on my 1700 and when I do it is usually 12 threads instead of 16, at 3.2GHz and I also don't pay attention to the PPD when I have run it...
I just fired it up from curiosity though. I am running a P9040 with 42 second TPF, estimating PPD of 48k. I am running windows 10, and nothing currently running on the GPU. If you plan to fold on a GPU at the same time you would want to reserve a thread for that, and I seem to recall that [email protected] doesn't like odd thread count and some other peculiarities.

I have only got A4 units so far,
P8648 00:59 for 77.1K PPD
P8652 00:56 for 83.3K PPD
P8659 00:53 for 90.5K PPD
P14049 02:50 for 76.4K PPD

I am slowly working down the voltage down to 1.375V @3.9 Ghz. Once I find the low end, I will find the wattage from the wall. Then I will slowly work up the speed.

You'll get a lot higher with a7 units. They use AVX so will probably run hotter as well.
