Notice: You are now required to sign up each month, be sure to sign up for this month's event and each event going forward

What is the Foldathon?

Every month we hold a Foldathon, or FAT for short. The FAT is a mad dash over a 2 day period where we fold on as much hardware as we can get our grubby fingers on and try to amass the most points possible. It is winner takes all. Okay, that's not true, but if you're lucky you might win something, probably not, but you will have made a honorable contribution to the science behind Folding@Home. What is that science you're probably asking, have a gander over here to learn more. All units crunched for team 37726 count, even if you can only manage to complete one unit, but if you're already a folder, there's no excuse for not folding for the full 48 hours

How it works:

Sign-up and run Folding@home for Overclock.net (team number: 37726) during the specified times. Those who Fold will be entered into a drawing to win the prizes listed below. If you still don't know what Folding@home is or need some help getting started, feel free to post here, make a thread in the Overclock.net Folding@Home Team forum or check this guide: FAHControl v7 for both CPU and GPU

----> SIGN UP HERE <----

You can verify whether or not you're signed up by looking for your name here in the member list.

If you don't submit any points during a Foldathon, you will be removed from the list, this is to push for active participation in the event.

You are required to re-sign up each month for the prize option, this is to hopefully push a little more active participation in the event as well and prevent prizes going to people who aren't active in the community.

When:

November 2018 Foldathon - Monday 19th - Wednesday 21st - 1200 ET/1600 UTC

Hey folks, I believe I came up with a solution for FaT notification. If you did not receive a PM from me, and you used to get PMs in the past, please let me know :)

Or, if you would like to be added to the notification list, please send me a PM.

Hey folks, just about a week away from the FaT. I know a that the PM system is giving a bunch of people trouble, so if you know anyone outside of OCN, we'd love to have as much help as we can get for this months event!

Don't worry, I won't tell anyone :thumb: :p

Morning folks, 3 hours until this months FaT! Start getting your workstations going, and lets see if we can break that 80 mil goal this month! :D

up and running... I will have a few interruptions during the FAT, but at least 2 TXps will run thru the end.

lol - i hit a crapstorm of those 14124 work units. cuts PPD by 50-60% on any card that sees them.

^^ Thanks!

Currently pumping out about 4.3M PPD. Enough heat to keep my house warm, and enough noise to keep me awake! :D

Looks like you're about to hit 750M!

I'm folding away, I can't get my 390x's to play nice together in the same rig... Time to come up with some cheap and extreme cooling measures so I can consistently hit 7.2M :D

So the events are running again?

Sorry, I'll have to sit this one out. Hopefully next month. I do have to add though, I didn't get a a notification about the messages. I only saw them now when I went on my CP to change some settings. I'll check the notification settings, but that might be a problem.

EDIT: I see the options are there, they were turned off for some reason.

ANOTHER EDIT: Changed my mind. My current rent is power included and I don't want to be inconsiderate, so I'm only going to do CPU folding this time though.

Looks like I am putting up somewhere between 3.4-3.6mil PPD. My tiny computer with my 1070 is down rn, so hopefully I can break 4 mil next month :D

Glad to see everyone going full speed ahead! Every little bit counts :D

I certainly won't be a top contributor...
