I did all of that, didn't work, kept having errors and the graphical version stopped working. it was a pain in the butt to get 1 program working again.

I've never had any problems with folding. Then again, I use the text-based console. If you hit a problem, reinstalling takes 2 minutes. Did you ever try to set up 2 TEXT-based console installations?

Fold for the cure & team 37726!!

Yep, both would get 5-6 hours worth of folding done then the core would have a problem and shut down, when I restarted them they would never start where the problem occured like the graphical version, so it never got anything done.

If it suddenly ends, it means there is an instability. Have you ever prime95'd your computer for 12+ hrs?

try uninstalling the graphical one, or just use the console version that is machine ID 2 and the graphical version.

Delete all previous versions of FAH and directories/work

Download the console version. Put one copy in a directory say Folding1 and another copy in Folding2

Run the folding1 with -local flag

Fill in the details, with the machine ID set to 1

Press control alt delete for the Task manager, go to processes, right click on the FAH program and select set affinity, de-select CPU1

Right click on the core that's running and again de-select cpu1

Then do that same with the folding2

But de-select cpu0 on both FAH & the core

You can tell that your selecting the right FAH & core as if you pick the one that's already running, CPU1 will be de-selected.

You'll have to set the affinity every time you restart.
