Okay, just started using this board. Noticed there is a jumper right above JCMOS1, called J1. The manual makes no reference, anybody know what this does? Just curious.

Not sure about that specific jumper myself, but I am curious - how has the board performed for you? The build quality of that board, it's design, and the Biostar manual caused me numerous frustrations. I returned it immediately after infecting my case with it

Well it's cheaper than any other Z68 or P67 that I can get my hands on so not complaining. Bargain for what you're getting. Lacks in places that don't really bother me. Had no problems so far, and heard it clocks decently, though have yet to try.

I have the same board myself, though I'm also not sure on the J1 jumper. Nothing updated even in the online manual.

Reality is not only stranger than we suppose. It may be stranger than we can suppose.

I am glad to hear it, and yeah I heard the same regarding it's overclocking potential. The board really does have the important features nailed down for the price.

You won't be disappointed. I got to 4.7GHz fairly easily in the first couple days. It seems it may take a little careful fine tuning to go further but I'm down with that.

9 years on, I finally found an answer at Manualslib, for the Biostar NF61S-M2 TE board -

"Note: In order to support this function "Power-on system via keyboard and mouse", "J 1" jumper cap should be placed on Pin 2-3".

It appears to be a PS/2 mouse and keyboard specific feature.

Enjoy!
