Hey guys, so this board shoudl be availible today or early next week in the USA. So i decided it was time to make a club for the owners and future owners to discuss stuff in.

Only two reviews, well 1 review and 1 preview, but the board is scarce thus far. When more reviews come in they will be added.

Some OC Tips/Tricks:
  • LLC is strongest at 0%(0.0mohm) and weakest at 100%(1mohm), 60% of 0.6mohm is the best IMO, the 0% is a bit harsh. 80% or 0.8mohm is the Intel stock loadline slope. Think of the mohm as the slope of the vcore, with voltage on the y axis and load on the x-axis, so slope of 0 is a straight line, and the greater the slope the more drop in voltage compared to load.
  • System Agent and QPI/VTT help with OCing memory
  • CPU PWM frequency goes from 0khz-2500khz, the real range for actual application is 0khz-500khz
  • The PWM options like extreme perf, or balance are referring to balance of temperature and load
  • max VCC for SBe is 1.4v, but SVID goes to 1.52v, so try to keep voltage as low as you can, but CPUs will die above 1.7v
  • System Agent and QPI/VTT are cleared upto 1.4v each in the new Intel spec, but keep them under 1.35v
  • If you don't know what to do with the PWm settings, just leave them on auto, the board does a good job of self regulation of the settings
  • Profiles are in the end of the BIOS on the save& Exit screen

The cooler Express has proven something to me about PCie lanes..
1. PCIe lanes in the CPU definately are affected by heat in the sense that over 4.5ghz on air cooling or liquid I was not able to get any higher score. At 4.8ghz my score was Lower on Liquid then at 4.5ghz.
I chalked it up to a bottleneck but it appears now that I am on Cooler Express the scores are rising with every 100mhz significantly.

Pay no attention to the H100 in the screen shots. Cooling is by Cooler Express

3930k 5.0Ghz

Vantage 2 x570 EVGA Superclocked

453

06 marks 2x 570 EVGA Superclocked

460

Cinebench 5.0 runs
4.9 is second score down on each screen shot. I think the one under that is 4.8 or 4.5, cant remember.
337337

I have another 570 coming Monday or Tuesday for Tri SLI. Cant wait to see how it adds to these scores.

I plan to max this CPU out this weekend too smile.gif

I think the highest I got with a 2600k with PPU enabled on Vantage was about 80,000
This CPU is absolutely superior and I dont know why anyone would think its just a 2600k with two more cores. heck the 990x didnt have this much score over Quad cores with smaller Die size like the 900 series i7.

Here is Vantage @ 5150Mhz 2x EVGA Superclocked 570 SLI

Can anyone confirm that this Bios has taken us beyond the Corrupt Bios restores that I have now gotten on TWO Gigabyte boards? I am going to have to purchase another board as soon as they are available somewhere. I just wish they had made some announcement to people telling us what the issues were. If they had I would not had made the mistakes I did that caused my board to get a corrupt Bios.

hmm i was OCing a lot i only got corrupted once when flashing the BIOS, and that was with F3 actually but through @BIOS flash. Since then i switched to in BIOS flash and there are no problems. This F4D seems to have come a long way, still some things need to be redefined. Is the UD7 sold out?

What did you do with your older boards? RMA? They only made a very limited edition number of UD7s, they were meant for extreme OCers.
