i have a 990X and im telling you right now get the 3770K. it nearly beats the 990X in multithread because of the superior IPC and clock for clock performance.

the 3770k will also consume far less power, less heat output in the room, etc. The 980x is still a monster chip though, and that's a great deal if you can get one for $350, if you didn't like it you could probably flip it and not be out much cash at all

OK so first thank you all but now I'm a bit more confused lol
my uses from the CPU will be making videos while streaming in hd quality using xsplit while playing a heavy game.
so, now that you know my uses what will be better for me?
and is the Asus rampage 3 worth it for about 190USD?
