Hey all, on my Z77-V Deluxe, it has built in WiFi with 2 external antennas which plugs into the rear panel with a small wire and some connector I don't know the name of. I broke the wire on one of the antennas and using only one antenna has had a big negative effect on the speed of my connection (only get 50-60mb/s instead of the usual 110-120mb/s).

Now is it possible to buy replacement antennas? Doesn't even have to be a replacement Asus one, could I get a stronger one from a different brand? Is the connector a standard connector or a proprietary Asus connector?

PS. I already contacted Asus, they don't sell accessories in the UK so I can't buy a replacement off of them directly apparently.

I have a similar problem with the Asus wifi antenna - it sucks. I might as well not have the antenna plugged in, I can't pick up anything. But my ralink usb adapter trucks along happily.

The asus connector after a lot of searching is an mmcx male. You can get adapters for these.
I have just ordered up :
http://www.wifi-antennas.co.uk/mmcx-antenna-base-with-1-metre-cable.html
http://www.wifi-antennas.co.uk/5dbi-2-4ghz-omni-antenna-rp-sma.html

Will let you know how I get on....
