I am very interested in these boards.. not loving the red.. but I will live..

Any word on prices?

I will be waiting til Micro center get these puppies.

I wonder why the decision to drop two USB 3.0 ports from the back IO and add back the old PS/2 keyboard/mouse connection (when comparing the Maximus VI Gene)?

By the time I can buy a ROG motherboard, I'll probably wind up buying the Maximus VII Gene instead. (late August)

Needed a model of the Maximus VII Gene for a project I'm working on, so thought I would share it for anyone else who likes playing around in SketchUp:



Photo references were used to model it so don't use for critical measurements, I tried to get it close though. The heatsinks are a bit of a hack job but I only needed a rough estimate of their height so didn't bother modeling them in detail.

Nav, can you confirm if the chassis fan headers are PWM? The models are listed on the Asus site but the manuals aren't yet.
