The non-Force does seem bizarre indeed. There seem to be 4 phases on the pic. Even the much cheaper UD3H seems to have 8.

Do you know if Gigabyte plans to improve the DPC latency of this new generation of boards? More than one reviews have mentioned this and it appears to a lingering issue with Gigabyte (see this review of the G1.Sniper 5 as an example: http://www.hardocp.com/article/2014/05/08/gigabyte_g1sniper_5_lga_1150_motherboard_review/4#.U2vM63aKy6I).

at first glance the phase count in total looks lower than Z87. not that haswell needs more then 6-8 phases max, but who wants an OC board with 4 phase?

just get the SOC force then if you don't like the phase count of the SOC

Both of these mb can run with as little as 1 phase if load is low. 4 phases may heat up more under load
But it may be very capable over all. Need some reviews.
