Hello, I managed to damage my ASRock x99 motherboard's secondary GPU slot, then damaged some CPU pins putting in my CPU upside-down at first, so I got an MSI X99S Mpower to replace my ASRock Professional Gaming i7. I'm getting the 'board this week, hope to have time to rebuild my system with it soon also. Any tips on BIOS settings or other things regarding this 'board?

Hello, I have a X99A XPower Gaming Titanium with a 5960X cpu. Can anyone tell me if this ram kit will be compatable. It's the CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB (4 x 8GB) CMK32GX4M4B3200C16? I prefer low profile heatsinks.

That’s a little fast for x99, you might be able to use high quality b die RAM with it, but if it’s 3200 with a 5960x it might nee to be at a lower speed. (I believe 3000 is the practical limit for Haswell-E, correct me if I’m wrong.)

My replacement refurbished x99 ‘board turned out to be a lemon. First the SATA started dropping out on some ports, then it stopped booting up altogether. I just ordered a MSI B450 Tomahawk motherboard and will be getting a Ryzen 3000 CPU if I can, despite not feeling like I needed Ryzen before getting my system to work again failed. I’m really going to miss the x99 platform, it was really good...

I heard that ddr4 3000 changes bclk to 125 while 3200 leaves it at 100 much like 2666 and lower does. It's a bit confusing to me. I was looking for pricing has 3200 the same price as

Unlike Ryzen, which has interconnect tied to RAM speed, and unlike to some extent the mesh of the Skylake-X HEDT platform, x99 has ring bus CPUs and in many workloads is just fine with slower RAM. I have DDR4-2666, there is better performance with faster RAM for games, and a few workloads, but its diminishing returns... 2666 on many RAM sticks doesn’t need a bclk strap also. The problem is if you’re like me and want to re-use it for Ryzen, I’m probably going to want to eventually upgrade my RAM....

Hi,
Combo system compatibility
I run that stuff on my x99 sabertooth 5930k works well where as hynix or micro are hit and miss on much lower frequencies.
