It's a good board too. Just has some vcore fluctuation issues. Plus the board is ugly. Asus needs to change their style because companies like DFI are gonna take the lead. Their lanparty series are great boards, offer great packages, CMOS reloaded which is the greatest thing to ever happen to BIOS structure, great performance. Did I mentioned they look great?! Black board with UV reactive parts. You can see pics of my rig with the 875B board here.

Ya don't get rev. 1. That is the old Pro875 I believe. You want the Pro875"B" rev. B1. That is the latest version. If you can't get B1 revision, any Pro875B will be fine. They're all the same, just rev. B1 has heatsinks on the MOFSET to make it Prescott ready.

I have the Pro875B rev. B1 and I have zero problems with it. I haven't heard of anyone having problems with it either. If you read the personal reviews at Newegg every single one of them gave it 5 Stars except one person gave it 4 stars because he was having CMOS reloaded problems. My guess he wasn't doing it right.

Ready WillyPuma's full personal review. He is right... what board offers both SATA raid and PATA raid?

Another thing is where are you getting your info about the board screwing up big time? I have never read any of that either? All reviews that I have read from creditable sites have said nothing but great things about the board. If anything ABIT IC7Max3 has gotten a poor review from ClubOC because of its vtt and vdimm issues.

Here are some reviews on the board:

http://www.ninjalane.com/display.asp...ro875b&page=10

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mai...pro875b_8.html

I hope this is enough. Notice the Pros/Cons. Lotta pros in there. I think some of the cons are high price(you get your moneys worth), passive NB cooler(get an active one) and whether or not it's Prescott ready(solved in rev. B1).

That board is one of the top boards on the market. Why? Well it's Asus' flagship board and it comes from Asus which is one of the top mobo makers. It's o/c's very well. The only issue I've heard about the board is it's vcore fluctuation.

The only thing that is a downside to the board in my opinion is the passive hs on the NB and the board is ugly. Still the ugly yellow/brown colour.

I have a DFI Lanparty Pro875B rev. B1 and I like it very much. It's o/c's nicely and its very stable. It also comes with a very nice package of accessories such as UV reactive IDE/Floppy round cables.

DFI is a company to watch for. Quite a number of the engineers/designers are former ABIT employees. They created the Lanparty/Infinity line of mobos.

Goodluck with your mobo search.

Well there is not much. Just the Lanparty has uv reactive parts and looks nicer and offers more accessories. I'm not sure about board layout though.... never though to check if they are the same.

www.dfi.com <<<< you can check out the different infinity and lanparty boards here.

I don't think the Infinity comes w/ SATA, and I think the Lan Party does.

Fold for the cure & team 37726!!
