Hey chaps,

I've recently got this board for a good price along with a 5930k and a gskill quad channel kit. 32gb cl14 - checked and it is on the qvl.

So far it's been great and a nice upgrade from my sandy bridge lol.

Couple of issues though if anyone has any answers.

I can't get both GPUs running at 16x. Slot 1 does but slot 3 runs at 8x even under load. I've got them in the correct slots and tried reseating. I know this isn't a bottleneck but I'd like to know why it won't work as I bought the 5830k for this to work.

Also, running my memory at xmp will not post. I'm aware 3200 is a little fast for a 5930k but are there any tips for voltages to try? I noticed the xmp profile didn't set the dram voltage to 1.35 so I did that manually.

Many thanks!

Hi all, first time here because my RIVBE died and looking into Rampage V-10.
1) can you use the EK Supremacy CPU cooler from LGA 2011 to LGA 2011 v3?
2)opinions on the mobo, pros & cons
Thanks for reading

Hi there pal. I have since managed to fix the PCI e lanes issue. I plugged in the extra miles connector for the PCI slots and it now works full speed. I think the matrix 980ti s wanted to see more juice.

I'm now having trouble getting my memory to post at camp 3200 cl14.

I'm getting bd errors. Tried tweaking SA vccio and cache voltages a bit but no luck yet.

I just wanted to say I had similar issues with my ram and reaching 3200mhz at very loose timings and well anything over 2400mhz actually.. I dont know if its when I updated the bios to the most recent but a modded one. Randomly one day i decided to give it a go again and got 3200mhz at cl14 with 1t no problem, which is why Im not really sure what to attribute it to. However, remember that although most cpu's can oc the memory anything over 2133mhz is considered an oc and some cpu's will be potatoes.

Great motherboard. Both are great, Rampage V Edition 10 and Rampage V Extreme.
Their BIOS and settings are same. Only RVE10 have some important new features.
2nd LAN Port because 1 LAN Port on motherboard is very bad, imagine if she die after few years and board work.
USB 3.1 Gen 2 Ports are important for people who keep longer platform because all of us new that in time they are launched USB 3.1 Gen 2 was not even close.
U.2 Connector instead useless SATA Express.

My opinion is only that maybe she miss 1-2 options in
BIOS for tuning NVMe M.2, to disable U.2 port and leave enable M.2 and etc...

But I didn't love less Rampage V Extreme. I love every hardware who served me nice.
Because price of RVE10 is still high on Ebay for people who no money to invest in new RIG, like I didn't had for GeForce Turing I suggest always to look used RVE and i7-5960X.

I only hope RVE10 will hold until 2021 or better until DDR5.
I don't have budget to throw money on two DDR4 platforms.

Thank you for the advice and is exactly what I need, honest answers. Yes, now my budget is tight and I will keep a lookout when the price is right.

If the price is really good for a CPU and motherboard combination may be a good buy for a rig but the budget is always tight if you have a family.

Has anyone messed with the PCI-e slot burfication on this board? For example. Let's say we have a gpu running at x16 on slot 1, and on slot 3, have a quad m.2 card (such as the asus hyper card) to run at x4,x4,x4,x4 to accommodate the hyper card with 4 m.2's.

Requires some BIOS modding, I'm curious if anyone has achieved this?

Apparently the code is there. Asus just didn't make it generally accessible.
