What's the word on BIOS 1903? I upgraded on of my BIOS to it (was still on 1602 on that one; kept the other at 1705, which was my "main" one). So far, I can't tell any improvement in performance, but no major slowdowns either. Haven't ran many 3D benchmarks, so going off of Cinebench/Geekbench mostly…

Turned out it wasn't VCCIN after all. Higher voltage did help a bit with performance consistency. The real culprit however appears to be an outdated Management Engine driver. Was using the latest one from Asus 1828.12.0.1152. After I updated it to 1909.12.0.1236 from the Intel site the WHEA disappeared during the GOW4 benchmark. Not 100% sure but it hasn't come back after several reboots and 2 hours of testing.

The ME driver update might have been necessary after the 1902 BIOS and MEI firmware or some combination thereof.

I remembered a while back dialing down my VCCIN to 1.900V. Didn't see any negative behavior and left it at that. Turns out it's too low for the load in that benchmark. Back to 1.920V and the WHEA error went away. FPS also improved about 5% and is more consistent from run to run.

I just used the latest update from Asus. There's a newer ME FW update under the BIOS section here:
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards...HelpDesk_BIOS/

For more detailed info:
https://www.win-raid.com/t596f39-Int...tem-Tools.html

(I'd stick to just using whatever Asus has though. No need to take any FW risks unless you're trying something specific IMO)
