Hi,
Noticed no win-7 support listed
Has anyone actually run 7 on the omega yet :/
I guess if it posts I'll look at the boot options and see if csm is listed and if other os.. is listed too
Sure don't need two x299 systems and frankly 10 is a basket case to deal with everyday

no board drivers for win 7 and that board. Win 10 works just fine. if you know how, you can push the 10 driver set into the win 7 boot loader by editing the win 7 install package, but no guaranty they will work properly.

Win7 isnt even listed on the M$ WEBSITE LMAO!!

There are a few posts on the ROG forums about getting most of the stuff to work. I dont recall seeing anyone getting everything to work on win 7 for several years now......ever since M$ stopped supporting it.

Hi,
Doesn't matter what ms lists but it does matter what asus lists
Existing drivers would probably work off the x299 mark 2 install but that's a 525.us used question

Maybe prime day amazon will slash the prices more no telling just have to wait and see.

Point is........Win7 is even more decrepit that I am at this point. Easier to just run Linux and do your own drivers at this point than to go bat sheet with Win7 that no one supports anymore. Its hit or miss and no matter how hard you try you can never attain 100%. Win 2000 server would be easier. and thats 20 years old. Guess I just don't get holding on so tightly to an archaic OS. Whats funny is over the years people held on to 95 until XP came along. Then wouldnt let go of XP until there was no choice but to move on to Win7 which was already scheduled to be discontinued. Now here we go again. The only OS that was a real bust was Win Me and Vista not much better once the AERO was toned down a bit it was OK. I was not much for win8 then 10 came along and after a a few refreshes it works well.

Looks like Asus recently launched a new Bios Version 1902 for the Rampage Extreme VI

I wasn't sure if there would be another updated bios. Most intriguing is the "Improved DRAM compatibility".

ROG RAMPAGE VI EXTREME BIOS 1902
Improve system performance & stability.
Updated Intel security issue.
Updated ME to ver.11.11.65
Improved DRAM compatibility

If you have tried this bios please report back and let us know how it works out. I'm still on 1503.

I've been playing with it all weekend. Seems solid. I'm running ddr4 4000 at 16-17-17-39-2 stable as a rock, 7900x at 4.8 @1.25v
