Hi,
Default setting failure
Old post before I was informed multicore enhancement needs to be enabled plus increasing this stupid restriction as well "Package Power Time Window [448]"
Otherwise the chip throttles like grandmas wheel chair

Hi,
Yeah I asked a few times around here got nothing but crickets and comments why I'm being rude lol
Ask shamico on rog forum got a couple GN youtube videos "I didn't watch" and a short story under them stating to disable MCE plus some weird stuff I disregarded.
So yeah x299 I always disable MCE never had that issue like on z490.

You should submit that to the 5GHz club!

Even though we’ve taken a serious off topic turn here. I thought I was in the ASUS Rampage VI extreme X299 thread.

Another 6 Pin 8 Pin question

What I interpret the manual as saying:
-1x 8 Pin =OR= 1x 6 Pin AND 1x 8 Pin
-Do not connect JUST the 6 Pin

From what I've read:
-You can connect all three (6pin, 8pin, 8pin)

Is that true? Can you connect all three? Should you connect all three, regardless of what the manual says?

Connect all three if you have the cables. But you can use one 8pin with a mild overclock. If you gonna push 1.2v for vcore, use two 8pins atleast.
