USB 3 port

Someone may know, maybe not? - USB 3 port on the front of case connected via internal cable in case to the USB 3 header on the motherboard which is Asus Z97-AR

The issue is sometimes when an external drive is connected it switches on and off as if its just been plugged in again - this repeats.

I've swapped the drive to a different port to do a copy of some files but thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else has come across this issue.

Another time I may go into the BIOS to see if all the appropriate connections are activated just in case and or double check the driver version for the Intel 3.0 driver which may have caused a glitch?

Any comments welcome even if you don't know - !

Haven't had that issue, but it sounds like a loose connection possibly...? Do you have another USB3 addon you can test? I use a 4 port USB3 bay device and it works great...

Edit: here is the one I use,
