Unhappy Need Help Past BIOS To overclock

I have an awfully slow desktop computer, which to be fair is what I paid for several years ago. The fans on my computer are barely ever on so I figured It could handle a bit of overclocking. I have an HP 110 (110-420z) that only runs a creeping 1.35GHz and 4 Gigs of Ram. I got the motherboard # as 767116-001 and from what I hear I need to replace the BIOS with some other startup system. But idk where to even start. If I could get help from someone on what to download or install let me know. I'm just hoping to get it fast enough to run a few chrome tabs without lagging. It seems it can't be done, but help out if it can.
