Gigabyte Z270X - Gaming 7 Best settings?

Hi,

Noob here had this board for quite some time now but still have no clue how to go about getting the correct settings for my CPU, running a i7 7700k and I've noticed that it runs rather hot i know these chips do run hot but not running 85 - 90 degrees for just downloading a game lol! Yes i have a H115i corsair extreme cooler on it and it was installed correctly with thermal paste. Im running Easytune on auto with default settings everything on BIOS is running at default apart from the XMP profile there is no overclock etc so im totally stumped at what could be causing this issue with the CPU.

Anyone any suggestions?

P.S most people are always discussing ASUS motherboards which i can't follow correctly due to different settings/names for Gigabyte.

It's not really an unrealistic temp for a 7700K. Mine was hitting 97c stock on a Cryorig H7.

Looks like you got a worse than average CPU like myself. Delid or deal with bad temps, unfortunately. It's not hard to do and you'll easily see 15-20c drops in temps.

Pretty shocking isn't it, Didn't really want to delid but i do read so many different peoples posts saying it did change the temps drastically so may need to reconsider it.

It's fool proof with the delid tool from Rockit Cool. I've done 6 CPUs so far myself and no issues with any. People have had a ton of success with the cheap 3D Printed tools on eBay and some just use a vice, but I've never done either of those methods myself.

Can get a ton of help here if you need it.
