8700K new?! I'd rather get 9700K then, if you're on a budget, get a cheaper board and get 9900K instead.

Don't skimp on CPU so you can buy a more expensive board.

i7-8700k has better price vs performance ratio. The price on Z370 mobo are dropping as retailers clear old stock.

As i said my targer group it's Z390 boards. Maybe later i will replace the 8700k with 9700k.

I'm in the same boat - I planned on getting a z390 and a 9900k or a 9700k but the reviews don't give much performance reason to get the 9700k (or the 9900k). The temperatures are crazy high even with a good cooler. I ended up ordering the 8700k and a taichi ultimate but that won't come until Wednesday. Not sure what the price would be in your country. The only reason to get the 9700k would be if you wanted to play some games at 1080p instead of a higher resolution or the 9900k if you plan on running virtual machines on a regular basis. I'd get the 2700x if I was doing video editing).

Intel really let me down on this batch. Maybe we'll see some 7nm CPUs soon and maybe we'll finally get some more PCIe lanes. I'll gladly switch to AMD if their mainstream processors have more PCIe lanes. Intel's HEDT crap underperforms and overcharges to get the additional PCIe lanes and the motherboards are usually behind the gaming motherboards even when they are released later.
