All maximus z370 boards should be able to handle the 9900k quite easily @ 5.0 ghz.

Just keep in mind of the vcore differences between Asus z370 and z390 boards due to the more accurate voltage sensor readings on the Asus z390 boards.

I have an EVGA Z370 Micro that runs 9900K at 5GHz and 5.1GHz just fine, with manual voltage at 1.224v and 1.28v respectively without any throttling. To confirm performance is as expected, 5GHz scores 2202 and 5.1GHz scores 2252 in CBR15, boosted by tuned RAM.

Those are nice numbers with that voltage! I have a couple sets of RAM, currently using 32GB of [email protected] I should throw in my 16GB of [email protected] to see what happens. I need to play with OC'ing my RAM beyond XMP, though I have never bothered.
