Just picked up 9900K new for $450, guess I will need a board now lol.

I would probably go for the Dark over the Aorus Extreme, I'd be paying $50 more for RGB lights lol.

$500 still seems like a lot for a board on this platform, considering I paid $417 for a Rampage VI Apex which was designed for LN2 overclocking a $2000 CPU. I am guessing most of the boards in the $200-300 range do not have the VRM capability or would cold bug at subzero temps?

Sounds kind of weird, but any Z390 mobos with condensation detection? My Apex VI has this, never had the opportunity to try it... yet

Hmm, wonder how these ASRock and Gigabyte boards perform? They seem to have pretty decent VRM, Gigabyte moreso than ASRock.

ASRock:
Extreme4
Taichi
Taichi Ultimate
Phantom Gaming 9

Gigabyte:
Aorus Master
Aorus Ultra
Aorus Pro Wifi
Aorus Pro
Aorus Elite

I'm glad Gigabyte did away with the RGB PCI-E slots. That was just too over the top for me lol.

The Dark is definitely an amazing board, just not sure it's worth double what other Z390 boards go for.
