Bumpity bump, triple post. Anyone else having fun with their Z390 Dark? Got mine stable-ish at 5.5 1.40v day one booted Windows at 5.7 but didn't test much. No luck at 5.8 up to 1.65V. Didn't test past that out of fear of killing the chip lol. Gonna update bios tonight to see if it helps the USB ports. Last resort, Linux live stick

The CPU Processor and motherboard overclocked that high out of the box with a custom cooling solution way to go.

What temps are folks getting when running the stress test under bios on this board with their 9900k? I am seeing ~80c with an all core clock of 5ghz and 1.35v. Not sure if this is normal temps for this chip (even under water) or if I need to tear my build apart and re seat my block. Hoping to get some feedback from other custom loop users to get better baseline before I spend an evening tearing it down. Thanks.

My results on the bios test are above, but this is with a chiller and 5c water temp. I will give it a try on mine, set it to 5 GHz and 1.35V, and let the water temp rise to ~29C. This would simulate the water temp on a good custom loop.

Ok, here is the bios test temp with HT on, 5.0 GHZ and 1.35V, and 29C water temp. Should match up with custom loop temps.

Got mine installed yesterday. Using a new 9900K with it and GSkill Trident Z 4000 32 gb kit.

Tried the Robo OC and got it to 5.2 @1.4v, temps mid 70's on a Corsair H110i that's about 3 years old.

The first 2 CB scores were after the Robo OC. Seems low to me from what I have seen others getting, ~2200+, but that might improve with a manual OC.

Installed the new 106 Bios today and will take a deep dive into OCing this weekend. (Totally new to this as I was on an X79 and the UEFI and other stuff is all new to me so any helpful advice would be appreciated)

Liking what I am seeing thus far though.

;-)

nice OC results with the auto tune! best I could get mine to do was 4.9 @ 1.4xx. Were you able to get your Trident Z 4000 kit to run with its XMP profile? I had that kit installed but I could not get it to post with xmp enabled and I didnt want to fiddle with it so I went back to a Corsair Dominator kit.
