USB 2.0 Header Question

I have the Z390 Dark Motherboard and purchased the extra 4 USB 2.0 pci-e bracket linked below to utilize the 2 internal USB 2.0 headers inside the case had make them dedicated to my streaming gear.

My question if the cables are to short to reach the internal headers can I use the below product without damaging the usb headers or my computer?

Yes, You can also get usb 3.0 to usb 2.0. If you don't have enough usb 2.0 headers.
