can a bad motherboard cause driver crashes but no other issues?

i think my motherboard may be failing, i have been getting gpu driver crashes, i have tested the power supply, another gpu (didnt crash but pulls 100W less power) i have underclocked my ram, my cpu and i have tried dozens of drivers. this is an RMA card straight from evga. anyone ever experience driver crashes caused by a bad motherboard?

you tried a different GPU and the issue was fixed but you're blaming the motherboard?

its not so cut and dry, ii changed ram xmp profile and it solved the crashing for a short while. but its temporary, usually within an hour or 2 it crashes again unless i change the setting yet again. but i just ran memtest for 5 passes and got no errors at all. and i ran valley for 3 hours and never crashed once.

Got a different power supply to test in it? I'd think it's just the GPU that's failing, but you seem to think not. You noted that using another GPU remedies it, but draws less power. So maybe the PSU is old and failing. Better to get it replaced ASAP if that is the case, because a failing PSU can fry your whole system with bad luck. Pretty sure I just lost my z87 mobo and radeon 480 because of a psu death.

Are you water chilled, custom or closed loop?
If your water chilled, placing the pump near storage drives, or near drive cables will have the magentic field from pump interfering and cause crashes.

Keep the GPU at bone stock settings untill you fix the prolbem

You do realize that a water pump uses the same DC motor that fans use right? (That is to say, it doesn't matter if it's liquid cooled or not) They all make magnetic fields, motherboards are designed with this in mind. If his **** is crashing because of minor emf, then the motherboard is indeed bad. I've never seen or even heard of a computer crashing because of such small magnetic interference...

turns out its a faulty graphics card, underclocking it 50MHz completely resolves the crashing EVGA going to set me up with an Advanced RMA, good suggestions though, ill keep them in mind in the future.
