MSI z87 g41 Strange Graphics problem (ONLY VGA WORKS)
Only the VGA port will output any display, not the DVI or HDMI ports.
But here's where the problem gets weird. It's affecting graphics cards too. I have several known good graphics cards with HDMI, DP, DVI, VGA on them. But on every one ONLY the VGA port will output a display, anything else doesn't work on this motherboard. The cables are good, I tested them with a different rig.
My old PSU surged and fried my RX 480 which was using one DP output and one HDMI output. I replaced the PSU and GPU then to find the VGA-only issue.
Think it's possible the surge killed the digital lanes in the PCIe? Are there even separate lanes for digital vs analogue signal?
