Z390 Aorus Elite C States

Anybody else having issues with c states and the stability of their overclock with this motherboard or Z390 in general?
I am right now running 4.8Ghz across all 8 cores at 1.18V with LLC set to turbo, with c states enabled i was getting "Watch dog timeout" BSODS, IRQL BSODS (Standard overclocking BSODS)
To add with C states i needed 1.3V just to hit 4.8Ghz...
Anybody happy to chime with their own results? It's honestly amazing how crap Intel C States are or that the VRMs aren't switching fast enough? Is this just due to owning a sub par motherboard?

I like to have fun.
