We're on 1401

@Falkentyne that's the testing we did. Found the lowest voltage to pass and then moved up the frequency chart by 100khz at a time. Each step crashed faster. 500khz being most stable.
Interesting. Bios 1302 on my main bios and 0903 on my OC bios both let me change from 250-1000. Updated to 1401 and 1502 and they start at 500. Trying to get screenshot but bios won't recognize my USB stick. Will switch back to 1302 and take pictures if I can't get screenshot to work.

Just take a pic with a phone as I've had issues using the screenshot method also. I can send that to Asus discord and see if we can get some clarity.

gigabyte silently launches a new model called gaming x ax. a wifi 6 verison of gaming x.
i guess the ax version will be priced $20 more over the base model of gaming x priced at $179 accordnig to amazon us.

gaming x's vrm heatsinks are similar to aorus elite's heatsinks, with 1 vcore phase less (same 50a drmos), $20 usd cheaper.
of course there are other features cut like 2.5g lan.
gaming x a good choice among gigabyte z490s if you care only about vrm at limited budget.

asus tuf is $179 too. strong heatsinks and 12*50a.

msi has $189 tomahawk, probably has the best heatsink design and 12*55a.

interestingly, gigabyte gaming x is direct design; asus tuf is teamed; and msi is parallel.

ps. drmos/smart power stages in parallel is more or less the same as asus teamed. one of the key point of asus teamed is each 1H+1L//drmos//smart power stage has its own independent driver.

z490 gigabyte production in factory

max 4,500 pcs in 8 hours
