X5680 problems

Hello I am trying to operate the x5680 on this mainboard.
I have the Deluxe v2. p6tws is installed (no function)
mod156 installed, no function.

the fans turn, but no picture.

I have a picture with an i7 950.

do I somehow have to flash a * .bin file?

could someone help me?

I've been trying for a few days and need help.

Greetings, your Leon

It may not have bios updated to support the 6 core CPUs. I'd get a cheap compatible first generation cpu like an i7 920 and boot into the BIOS to use the USB Flasher tool to update the bios to the latest. You should be able to load the BIOS file onto a FAT formatted USB drive and load it from the tool in the bios. It should tell you how to do it in the manual.

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P6.../HelpDesk_CPU/

Says it requires BIOS version 1107 here.

Also on these old boards generally BIOS updates work better if you go from one to the next and don't skip straight to the latest.

Hello, do you have any ideas?
I have now tried the first P6T-WS-ASUS-PRO-1205.
i7 ok, xeon no.
Then p6tws4. i7 ok, xeon no.
Then mod156.
i7 ok, xeon no.

only the fans run with the xeon, but i have no picture.
