Remember I am not a memory overclocker. Trying to learn.
You should post your question in the DDR4 memory thread also.

Thanks a lot.
Setting everything up now ;-)

But the M.2 lane stealing I don't get yet.
M2_2 steals Sata5_6 that is fine. => chip?
M2_1 steals from the PCIE1x? but that is no the primary GPU isn't it? => CPU or chip?
M2_3 from the third PCIE16x => chip?

Thanks!

it is my understanding that ALL the m.2 slots come from the PCH, non come from the cpu

Anyone play around with the PEG/DMI overclock setting yet? anything to gain from it?

1.41vdimm
17/18/18/36 2T
TREFI was @ 16xxx on "auto" so buildzoid said B Die can all do 32000 so thats pre set now
tRFC is @ 550 anything lower gives weird errors
have u tried to find a somewhat matching preset under mem presets, load it and try it for starters?

i saw that in there but i have not tried any of them ...... yet. Come to find out, i had to drop down to 4000MT/s speed as no matter what I set for 4133, i couldnt get a stable system. Always had weird issues popup, like clicking an icon on desktop, then box pops up and says file corrupt and link missing error... dropped to 4000mhz and put back TREFI to "Auto" which gives me 15xxx, and set TRFC to 560 and so far so good, and HCI memtest stable. This board must not like 4x8gb b die dimms faster then 4000...

Quick question if someone can answer; my system is going to have a hardline custom loop, will I be able to access the M.2 slots without taking my GPU's out?

If you have a card in the 2nd x16 slot it will cover the front M.2 locations.

So, are any of the new 4 dimm asus maximus boards T-Topology or are they all daisy chain now? Looks like the range is max 4 dimm 4000MHz so they can support up to 4800MHz 2 dimm in the QVL.
