Now Asus memopry support for Hero, and Extreme, does not list this as supported memory set.

But G.Skill website does list all of the Maximus XII z490 motherboards as supported.

So who do I trust ?

Hi,
I wouldn't dwell on qvl that set will work, nice tight timings likely b-die so only question is on budget or not
Someone here has that set on z490, just said it runs hot pushing past 4k mhz is all and all ram is hot pushed so nothing new there add a fan

Ok, thanks.

Ill only be running it at xmp speeds so no need for fan I think.

Ive found more sites saying it IS compatible, but still find it odd Asus does not list it.

Ill get it on thursday so fingers crossed.

Got the board in today and Damn what a heavy box. I’ve had an Extreme and few Apex boards in the past but this is the most epic board ive owned hands down.

Only question i have for you guys is regarding the rear backplate. Have there been any issues mounting this board ?. Seems like the backplate would get in the way of mounting some of the screws flush ?

I had to force the bottom right side screw and stand off of the motherboard, like push the board by force just to get that screw in.

Corsair 800d case.

So the backplate can cause some issue.

Now that we are seeing more owners... can people start sharing their OC's on CPU and memory, including voltages, etc for stability.

Yeah its cool dude. Thanks for trying. Good to hear your using both with no issue. I forwarded all my testing and details to intel and the rep agreed something was not right and they said they would take a look into it and get the right people involved. So its in the best hands possible at this point.

I dont have high speed ram yet (only 3200mhz) but my solid 24/7 OC profiles for my 10900k and MXIIE are as follows.

All profiles are P95 Small FFT no AVX 8 hour stable, Realbench (Half RAM 16gb) 8 Hour stable and Cinebench 4 Hour Loop Stable.

Chip is a SP88

All power limits removed and c-states disabled.

VCCIO- 1.150v
VCCSA- 1.150v

5.0ghz 47-cache LLC4 - 1.119V LOAD

5.1ghz 48-cache LLC4 - 1.181V LOAD

5.2ghz 49-cache LLC6 - 1.260V LOAD

5.3ghz 49-cache LLC6 - 1.305V LOAD - Cinebench run stable. Have not bothered to chase full stability with this frequency yet as it gets too hot for my liking and 24/7 use. I like to keep things no higher then 80's. Maybe if I delid down the road.

As time goes on im seeing more and more better CPU samples posted that make myn meh. But im satisfied with it.

Oh yeah and I completely removed the MXIIE backplate cause im running some case mods with acrylic panels to clean up the MB tray.

The backplate did not cause any issue in the Enthoo 719 I have. All screws were installed without issue. Glad I got it when I did too. Newegg has raised the price for the Extreme by 100 usd to 850 usd and still out of stock. I guess they are expecting short supplies.
