Pentium 2 Slot 1 Motherboard

so I dragged out this old dinosaur the other day, an extended slot 1 motherboard with a Pentium 2 installed.
the strange thing is, there appear to be no markings indicating who made the board.
i haven't tried booting it up yet because i don't have everything to get it running yet.
If you could help me identify (just for curiosity) who the manufacturer is id appreciate it.

The picture is not of the board I have, its just for reference. I may upload an image of mine later.

uh

why would you post an image of a board that isn't yours "for reference"

unless you mean that board is what board you have, it's just not your image, then it says what board it is on the board... Asus P2L97, lol.

heres the thing. 1 im not able to get a picture of it right now so I thought id put a photo up for "reference" as to what type of board is, it is very much similar. The idea was that someone knows how to identify the manufacturer of these dinosaur boards.

you see, most boards do have printed "brand Y Model B2" somewhere on them. However, the board I have doesn't.
Im wondering if there's a different way of identifying the manufacturer for these boards. Or it could be possible the board is a intel board and that might explain the lack of identifying markings.

i hope that makes sense.

ah, I got ya. unfortunately if there's no writing anywhere on the board you're kind of SOL.

if you can find the EEPROM for the BIOS you could try to run the serial numbers off that to figure it out, but not sure it'd do much more than lead you down a trail to find a replacement EEPROM and they're generally not board specific. usually many boards have the same EEPROM with just different BIOSes flashed to them.

they make tools where you can read/dump the BIOS off it and that would lead you down a better trail to figuring it out but surely just getting parts and trying to boot it would be cheaper.

if you wanna try the serial number route the big thing that has the "AWARD" sticker in the image you used is what it'd look like. square or rectangle with probably at least 8 pins. sometimes they're socketed, sometimes they're soldered. you should see a circle dimple on one of the four corners.
