I am considering MCP-35X vs. MCP655 but would consider any pump if I overlooked some good options. I like the idea of having a pump controlled by my motherboard but in the reviews I have looked at the 35x seems quit a bit louder? I am new to water cooling so could use suggestions. would be using a phobya xtreeme 1080 if I decide to go inside the case and a Watercool MO-RA3 9x140mm if I go outside the case. Large res if I make my own or a phobya 2 bay res if I am not so creative. Only cooling the one CPU at first but plan to cool 2 video cards later. Not sure how much of that matters but listed it for restriction purposes.

This.

The MCP355 performs a bit better but is louder, hotter and fails more.

Hmm.... sounds like the 655 wins. I assume there is no PWM pump that is as good in this pricerange then. Thanks

its not louder. its barely audible. i have used the 655,355, and 35x too
the 355 out performs the 655 with a top. the mcp35x would be best. it is noticeable when running
