Water-cooling CPU and x2 gpu

My buddy is building a threadripper gaming PC using x2 Vega 64 and is in need of help.

I know zero about water-cooling and were confused on what to buy.

He wants to water-cooling the CPU and both GPUs.

He knows it will be costly but isn't worried about price as much.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
What case ?
Two loops are usually best
Single loop would usually need a dual D5 pump and ek is the only manufacture that makes a dual D5 about all ek is good for lol

Hardware labs radiators are usually considered the best

Most people shop at performance pc with OCN55 discount code they also periodically have holiday codes to use as well up to 15% off for non close out or discounted items.

For the last 4 yrs Ive been cooling 2 GPU's and a CPU with a single loop single pump rez....great performance great temps.....
Presently an OC'd 9900K and Sli 1080Ti's.....

No need for 2 loops and / or 2 pumps provided you have ample radiator....Im using an XSPC Rez / Pump (Vario D5) wit 480*360*240 .....check out my build here....along with my Temps (last picture)

The case is this one. If you could please provide links to the hardware needed that would be much help if possible.

Remember he needs a pump, radiator, CPU block and res.

He is not worried about the money he just really wants good stuff for his money

And single loop with one pump is fine.

...I just finished a Threadripper 2950x build w/ 2 2080 TIs, all water-cooled, in a Core P5 case. For the CPU, the best block is the Watercool Heatkiller IV TR. As you may have already noticed, there are basically two schools of thought: single loop for CPU / GPUs, or separate loops. Both have pros and cons, but for my money, every custom loop I have ever build consists of separate loops > but it does require more space and equipment (i.e. extra pump, extra reservoir unless you go for a dual res one), and I am not sure that would all fit in the Antec case which you listed ...on the other hand, that case should have excellent airflow ! If your friend does go for a single loop, he should use at least two rads, the biggest he can fit inside that particular case...speaking of that case, check out his vid (and the unique res combo)

If you haven't purchased anything yet, we have a configurator tool that can help you plan out what all is needed parts wise.

I was playing around with the configuratior a few days ago and couldn't figure out why no matter what "purpose" you choose (silence/silence+overclocking/overclocking) it only ever recommends SE radiators. Aren't SEs for slow fans aimed at silence?

Just curious. I blew my PC part budget for the year already so I likely won't be buying anything anyway

Out of curiosity, what case was it for? Not sure if it's trying to account for spacing of something or if it's just having a moment.
