why are my temps so high?

ok so i have a xeon w3690 overclocked to 4.3Ghz at 1.35 volts on the vcore. while gaming temps max out at 70c on all 6 cores i recently had a 240mm aio at 4.01Ghz but decided to up grade my aio. i though going from a 240mm to a 360mm aio would net me better temps, seeing how it had more space and a 3rd fan. even tho i increased my over clock from 4.01 to 4.3 am i missing something below is a link to my AIO thermal paste
is MX-4

If that's max its not too bad, if that's the average then seems a bit high. Don't forget that AIOs dont have the flow rate of custom loops, although people say it doesn't matter, it does. The radiator is also aluminum, won't dissipate heat as much as a copper one. You need to see what your cpu is maxing out at. Depending on fan speed, a copper radiator can dissipate anywhere between 75 to 350w or so depending on push/pull and good flow. Thats for a water delta of 10°C for 5°C half those measurements.

You can try repasting but i doubt youll see much improvement. Not sure if the 3690 is soldered or not.

Hi,
All AIO's have paper then radiators
Set pump to max and fans as well about all you can do
Where is the rad installed ? front/ top ?
As intake or as exhaust ?
Intake would be best.

Paste isn't all that different either
I use easy to get nt-h1 personally.

Hi,
Inside case mother board/ ram/... is hotter than I hope your room temperature is
Rads like cool air.
If you want to try it flip the fans as intake
The top/ front of cases are filtered for a reason designed for intake.

If your CPU cooler is the only exhaust for the GPU then there's a really good chance it would lower temps.
Keep in mind we only know what CPU you have and what size your CLC is so it's hard to say anything for sure.
For all we know temps are high because you have poor case flow and you're playing Battlefield with 1.4vcore.

Do you have a block on your GPU or is it just normal? Whoever said the top fans ahould be intake, yay cookie. Thats what Id do atleast. If your using that HP Z400 case than your airflows doodoo haha. I always put a 150mm fan on top, 1 on the rear and atleast a side fan all sucking air In. Then one on the bottom of the case blowing it out and It worked nicely.
My case is never on carpet or the ground either.

Yes. Ambient temp is lower then what’s in the case.
Rads should almost always be intake
